February 10th's Speaker - Black History Month -  2/10/2010
February 10th, for Black History Month Harium Martin-Morris, Seattle School Board Director (Distr 3), will be our guest speaker.  This event will be during our Noon meeting and should prove to be an interesting speaker.

January 20th's Speaker -  1/20/2010
On Jan 20th, we will be visited by Seve Yoon and Emi Baldowin.  They will bring our club up to date with what is happening with the West Seattle Project "Link".  This meeting will be educational in the sense we will be able to learn more about what is going on in our community.

Kiwanis of West Seattle Sponsors Seattle Symphony at So Seattle Comm College -  1/15/2010
Come join us at the Brockey Center at South Seattle Community College, on January 15, 2010, for a free concert performed by the Seattle Symphony.  This event is held to inspire youth into the arts. There is no cost to attend.

January 13th's Speaker -  1/13/2010
Next week's Speaker (Jan 13th) is Shawn Iadonato, the Executive VP and Chief Scientific Officer of KINETA, Inc.  This company's field is in the area of human immune systems.

SSCC Awarded Check from Kiwanis of West Seattle -  8/12/2009
Donations received from our 80th Anniversary Dinner were presented to Heather Foss, SSCC Foundation Development Officer, this morning.  The donation will go to provide prepaid tuition to one student at South Seattle Community College for a full school year (three quarters).  For more details, please go to the Kiwanis Newsletter dated August 12, 2009.  Editor

President Mike was elected Lt. Governor Elect 2009-2010 for Division 26. If elected next Zone Conference he will serve as Lt. Governor Oct. 1, 2010-Sept. 30, 2011.
